What’s the most exciting victory story you’ve ever heard? Well, buckle your seatbelt for this series because nothing is quite as suspenseful as when God helps His people win.
The stories of God’s victories are full of surprises! He is with people who face battles, and He’ll use anything—sticky mud, water from a river, a handful of smooth stones, chariots of fire—to triumph.
When God is on your side, there’s no reason to worry. We can be strong because He is our strength. God is powerful, and He is always victorious.
In this series, we’ll dive into the victorious stories of Deborah and Barak, David, Elisha and Naaman, and Elisha and an army of angels.
Who will you share these exciting stories of God’s victory with?
Series Invitation
God’s victories in Scripture are astounding. In the Victory series, we’ll see God’s deliverance on display through a unique female judge, a young shepherd boy, a miraculous healing, and an invisible angelic army.
But does it ever seem hard to connect to these stories of victory? Life looks so different today compared to 3,000 years ago. While Deborah, David, and Elisha all faced formidable odds, they didn’t live in a world filled with monthly mortgage payments, school shootings, terrorism, and nuclear weapons.
It’s easy for us to dismiss these biblical stories as archaic inspirational tales, hardly relevant to today’s complex world. However, nothing could be further from the truth!
God doesn’t change. He is eternal, immutable, and perfect in all His ways. When His people faced great challenges long ago, He called them to be “strong and brave” and “not lose hope,” and He assured them of His abiding presence (Joshua 1:9).
God’s message to you today is the same. So what are you anxious about? What problems seem insurmountable to you? Whatever they are, take heart: the same God who gave incredible victories to Deborah, David, and Elisha is fighting for you too. His reminder to ancient Israel still rings true for you: “I am the LORD your God. I will be with you everywhere you go” (Joshua 1:9).
