We all love a good rescue story where a hero arrives just in time to save the day! Because of our sin, we all need to be rescued—and God had the perfect plan for a rescue mission to save His people! God’s plan started long ago when He promised a Redeemer and Rescuer. The God Rescues series dives into four Old Testament stories of God working out His rescue plan among His people.

In each lesson, kids will discover God’s plan, power, and care for His people as He leads the way for the greatest rescue of all time—salvation through Jesus.

Jeremiah 32:17 says, “Lord and King, you have reached out your great and powerful arm. You have made the heavens and the earth. Nothing is too hard for you.” 

What things in your life seem too hard for God? Will you trust Him with the things that seem impossible? 

In this series, we see God save Joseph in some very difficult and emotional experiences—situations that didn’t seem like they had any chance of turning out well. We witness God show His power by rescuing His people from 400 years of slavery through a series of miracles and a broken, ill-equipped man. We watch God show care for His people when He provides for them every day for forty years in the wilderness. And we look on as God leads His people to the land He had promised to give them. 

As you read through these familiar stories, I invite you to take a step of faith and trust God in your most difficult situation. Trust that He will rescue you and that He will save you. Know that He is powerful and that He cares for you. And know that He will lead you to a place filled with promise and blessing.
