Water from a rock? A talking donkey? An impossible longing fulfilled? Food from almost nothing?

In this series, kids will discover that, as God works on behalf of His people, He often works in unexpected ways to bring about His plans in His timing. He hears our prayers, His gifts are good, and His plans cannot be stopped.

What will God do next? No one can possibly imagine. But it is possible for us to believe God can use anything to care for His people—even rocks and a donkey!

So even in the darkest place, where all seems impossible and unimaginable, we can take hope in the fact that God is there.

Series Invitation

Sometimes being a minister can be incredibly fulfilling. We see God move in people’s hearts and lives in beautiful, miraculous, transformative ways, and we get a front row seat to the amazing power of the Holy Spirit to bring life and healing to broken places.

Sometimes being a minister can be incredibly difficult. We walk with people through deep sorrow and gut-wrenching grief, and we hear them cry out, “How long, oh Lord, will You hide Yourself from us?”

In both of these experiences, we can find hope in the same place: the unfailing faithfulness of our God.

In this series, we are going to reflect on places where God shows up in unexpected ways. He shows up in good times and in bad times. He shows up in places we would least expect, let alone imagine. And He shows up in ways that underscore His love for us and for the whole world.

God remains faithful. It is His desire that all come to know Him and His love (2 Peter 3:9). So even in the darkest place, where all seems impossible and unimaginable, we can take hope in the fact that God is there.

What unexpected moment of faithful provision does God have for you in the next few weeks? It might be beyond your imagination, but God is there, ready to provide for every need from His abundant faithfulness.
