God’s faithfulness remains even as people display unfaithfulness to Him. It isn’t long before sin takes over the world. God is saddened by this change in the way people relate to Him and each other.
Through the life of Noah, God shows He honors those who do what is right, and He is faithful to bring Isaac and Rebekah together so His chosen people can grow. When His people are oppressed, God sends help and lets them know they are His, and when God gives the Law, He shows that His people are set apart.
In this series, we’ll celebrate that God is the faithful God who will always be faithful to His people!
Series Invitation
In my life as a Christian, the one thing I would say I’m most confident about is that God is faithful. But I would also say in my walk with Jesus, the one thing I question the most is God’s faithfulness. I know He was faithful in the past, but will He be faithful to me today, right now, in this situation?
Have you ever struggled with knowing God is faithful but still questioning it?
The Faithful series will show you, again and again, how God is faithful to His people. He rescues righteous Noah. He is faithful—yet again—to Abraham’s family. He steps in to save Moses and the Israelites, and then He faithfully shows them how to live for Him.
You and I will likely still struggle to trust God’s faithfulness, even as we read these incredible truths from God’s Word. But through these texts, you and the kids you lead will see God does what He says; He always keeps His promises.
We need these stories so we can remember who God is and what He has done in our moments of doubt.
This series reminds us that God’s faithfulness is not dependent on how strong our faith is. All of it always has and always will depend on Him. He is the one who is faithful.
